Ashida That happened to me once. I made a dish that tasted just right, and of course I had no clue how much stuff I put in and I've never been able to quite duplicate it since then.

Ashida That's my feeling too! I've just messed up so many times when baking, that i'm reluctant to deviate from teh recipe.

Ashida My Grandma was that way. She'd just throw a bunch of stuff in the pot and whatever she cooked turned out awesome. You'd try to get recipes from her and it was impossible becasue she never wrote down anything she did.

Ashida My wife follows the recipe to teh letter and she's a great cook. I like to cook too, but I'm more of a throw the stuff in there and it will turn out fine.
