it happened a few days ago, I was posting a response to a discussion that a friend have started and I did a typo, I didn't notice it and the spell checker that came with Firefox didn't notice it either, when I clicked the button...

Gnavvy it'll only correct if what you type isn't actually a word. If you type the wrong word by accident it wont notice, regardless of how bad the grammar would be
