Humanicon Well i am a newbie in energy saving. Thus i don't know much about it power saving. I have replaced many tube lights with CFL in my house.The most important part i stopped playing games, this was the main place of power consumption.

Humanicon To quit gaming for the purpose of saving power was the toughest job for me. But still i tried and quit it successfully. I think i should also do similar thing like you did by connecting monitor separately.

Humanicon It is better to read motherboard book.It is mentioned in it. There is also one more option i forgot to mention but try this two first.The third option is bit risky. Remember if you mess up in bios just press restore to default. Good luck.
