Linebacker53 People who would do that do not deserve to have a motorcycle in their household, It's so easy to kill yourself on a bike and children should not be able to ride them until they can understand that.

Linebacker53 I saved up money for years to buy my truck, a 20 year old ford ranger, aka the "Danger Ranger". I had to do a ton of work on it, which I did myself, and now it's still ugly, but it is a really reliable vehicle.

Linebacker53 I would reccomend looking up what could happen if you do or dont get those services. Some mechanics will just try to get the extra money out of you, but other times there could actually be something to what they are saying.

New pickup

I've been looking at getting a new (used but new to me) pickup in the next few months, looking for good quality, good gas mileage, roomy enough to use as family vehicle too. Any ideas out there?

Linebacker53 It's hard to get both room and gas mileage. If you get a smaller truck like a ranger or s10, they are very reliable and get great mileage, but usually don't have much room or towing power. For full size trucks, a diesel is the only way to get decent mileage...

Linebacker53 I havn't worn a bicicle helmet since i took off my training wheels back in the day, but when it comes to motorcycles i try to get as much protective gear as i can - without being stupid of course.

Linebacker53 The average bicicle helmet really doesnt cover that much of your head or matter with slow speeds (i never wore one), but once you get up to motorcycles and higher speeds that inch of foam between your head and the road may be your only chance to survive

Linebacker53 these are two very different bikes, the R1 is built to handle much better than the busa, and the busa is only made for flying down long straitaways. The 1000's are by far the best bikes out there pound-for-pound, but there is nothing like a busa or a kawasaki...

Linebacker53 A car seems better for conditions like rain, but I've ridden biked my whole life, so I feel safer with those. I feel more in control of my own movement when i'm on a bike.

Whats the best motorcycle to start on?

ive been looking at the 250 CC kawasaki ninja's as a bike to ride when i move off my 50cc resriction. any other ideas of a bike i could ride?

Linebacker53 depending on where you live and ride, i would probably want something bigger than a 250. The wind coming off cars and especially trucks could put you all over the road. You should probably look at someting 600 or bigger, and probably not a sportbike.

Linebacker53 My friend has a 1989 Mustang with a performance built motor (470 hp to the crank) that we got up to 270kmh on the highway. It could have done faster, but it would have been too dangerous.
