Beautiful weather, it is almost always sunny. It gets pretty hot in the summer but is really dry. The wind seems to blow constantly in the spring. Mild winters usually but tons of snow within 30 minutes drive to the Sandias....

Lugh69 I know what you're saying. I felt sluggish for the first 2 weeks I was there. But after that It was full throttle for me. Hiking the Sandias, football, running, etc.

Lugh69 I lived there for 4 years and there was at least some snow every winter. There was even a couple of blizzards. It's because of the elevation, over 5,000 feet, that they get more varied weather than some other SW cities.

Lugh69 Yes, at the the NM State Fairgrounds. They also have horse racing in Santa Fe and Ruidoso.

Sometimes these fees are really large, even 25% of someone's balance. Should collection agencies be able to charge these? How long (weeks, months, years) should the collection agency wait to take someone to court and charge them...

Lugh69 That's true. You don't have to pay them at all you can say that you will only deal with the original creditor and they will likely drop most of the interest and late fees if you pay them off in set installments.

Lugh69 Maybe it's just a standard question that needs updating. In the old days their was a stigma placed on divorced people and single women who were out of school.

Lugh69 I think many do expect royal treatment or at least want it. I say treat everyone with respect but don't acknowledge or condone people when they express feelings of superiority.

Lugh69 Yes, he was their lead singer. His brother Tom was the guitarist but is now deceased. John Fogerty recently won a court case giving him the rights to their songs. He is still playing and recording.

Where do you go to get your news? Do you visit sites like Digg.com or Shoutwire.com, or do you watch the Televised news, possibly even the Newspaper? I have always wondered how some people get information much faster than I do.

Lugh69 Events happen but each media source puts it's own spin on how things went down and which parts they want to report. I think I can get a better idea of the truth if I hear more viewpoints. I watch CNN and MSNBC because they are on 24/7 and I gave up...

Lugh69 Yes, I mostly do my own cooking. But I do get out for a drive and dinner at least once a month. I'll be overseas s and have greater access very soon.

Lugh69 Some parts of the stories are real. Like names of cities,geographic areas and the prominent historical figures. But as to the events we may never know. The concept of a massive flood in that region is a belief of some scientists and historians but the Bible...
