josefina I remember a time when Lent was characterize by a solemn and sincere contemplation of Christ's suffering. Now you hardly see any "Pabasa" chanting the passion during the Lenten season. It's more about going to the beaches and Malls.

joy My siblings and I are still practicing this gesture not just to our parents but to our aunts, uncles, etc. The kids though prefer to kiss or hug us, which is fine to me.
