SherryA Yes, I see this in every pet store. It is so the feces will drop into the container and the puppies won't be sitting in it. I admit, it breaks my heart, but having them wallowing in poo is sadder yet.

SherryA As I understand it, this is mainly in the southern states. The maker is Diamond - so watch for that name. They make a range of cat and dog food. I stick with Purina for my ferret - I imagine these foods are in discount type grocery stores - BE AWARE
