Can someone help with this Italian word?

I just purchased a coat that is made in Italy and it says it's 100% Cupro but I can't find the Italian definition of this word? Does anyone know the definition of "cupro"? Thanks, Taramisu

Taramisu Thanks for your reponse. The coat has two labels. The first one says: Cinzia Rocca due Made in Italy and the second one says: Fodera Bemberg 100% Cupro
