allen0187 I do see your point and to some degree providing health care to those who are suffering from mental illness can contribute to lowering shooting incidents. However, stricter gun laws can deter shooting incidents as well. I think both areas should be looked at...

I am having a very difficult time swallowing the fact that Trump is leading the polls just for saying whatever is on his mind. It doesn't seem to matter if he's right or wrong. He shows lack of respect for others and acts out on...

xfahctor @Susan2015 But yeh, I would love to see Sanders beat Clinton, I like the guy and agree with a chunk of what he has to say. He is an intellectually honest and consistent guy too, very rare in Politics. He is the Democrat's Ron Paul.

suziecat7 I think he represents the non-politician to people. That's why he's up in the polls. Folks are sick of the same old same old. I hope in the end they won't vote for him. It's a scary thought for me.

Just in my observation, an atheist/evolutionist see a Bible believing person as ignorant, stupid, and/or wicked. In an article regarding the Creation-Evolution Controversy, it is stated there that evolution is an undisputed...

Without man, there would be no God. Men who search for 'God' outside of themselves are like dogs chasing their own tails.

Just an Ordinary Owl? @TwoEms The human mind is an incredibly complex mechanism. It can (and often does) fool us into misinterpreting the information it receives through our senses The 'Experience of God', however, is not received through the ordinary senses of sight,...

Nor is allowing same-sex marriage equality akin to Hitler's systematic (and legal at that time) extermination of anyone that didn't conform to his standards of a perfect human. There, it's been said. I think it needed to be...

Oshy I think the whole situation is a shambles. This woman is neither a martyr for a cause, nor is she a heroin. This is willful defiance of the law cut and dried. She needs to get her nose out of other peoples business period. Her hateful nature is apparent the...

Phyrre @purplealabaster I think the biggest shame here is all the donations she's receiving to support her being locked in jail, knowing that she already makes a pretty darn good income for this state, when there are legitimately people who could use those donations...

Phyrre @topffer They don't do it that way here, but I actually really like that idea. Here, they are elected, so if they step down then someone else steps up. They don't pay anything for their office, though, and they are paid with taxpayer money to hold that office....

Phyrre @topffer It's true, and several people have resigned. But she makes $80,000 a year in a county where the average family (not individual but family) makes about $30,000 - $40,000 a year. So I'm sure she doesn't want to readily give up that nice paycheck,...

Phyrre To be fair, Kim Davis has been sentenced, too, but here she does have the right to let someone else in the office do it. But I agree. If you're in a position, you either do the position or you step down (as others have) citing religious conflict. The big...
