where to download avast?

can anyone tell me where to download avast that is free and safe. i would really apreciate if you would comment to this discussion.

amoeba1cell Well, I went to java.com and tried all night and day to download JavaMath, so sometimes it's just not that easy. I'm not real profficient, have an old laptop, and am trying to configure it to Windows XP, but a lot of things have to be added first...like Gap....
