Well, August is Toddler Month. This is something I didn't know. So, all of you out there who have little toddlers, enjoy them growing up inch by inch. I will be enjoying my little guy!

amore07 I don't think there is any celebration. Just going out and doing something with your toddler is celebration enough if you ask me.

I can't believe I got online tonight and there is an article about Bernie Mac dying at the age of 50 from pneumonia. That is crazy! He was hilarious on the Bernie Mac show and I will miss his great acting and comedy.

amore07 I have tired the firm no and sometimes it works and sometimes not. Sometimes he thinks it is funny until I move him away from the object and to something else. I guess he is slowly learning and probably testing me.

amore07 My husband tried the corner thing a couple of times but to my child it isn't very affective. He doesn't really get why he is in the corner and just gets really upset at his dad for putting him there. Maybe when he is a little older.

amore07 Excellent advice. I already do most of this stuff. We put the child proof locks on and I do have one cupboard he can get into. We have also put up anything that I would care if he got a hold of. He is a curious little guy, but that is how they figure things...

amore07 Thanks for the advice. I always hated it when my parents would tell me I can't do something and when I would ask why, they would say "Because I said so". That just made me of course want to do it more.

amore07 Well, everyone does different things. The person before you clicks on new discussions. I click on discussions with no responses, and you click on what ever topic you feel interested in at the time. Thanks for your comment! Have a great day.

I saw on the TV babies swimming in a pool underwater. Is it true that they can hold their breath underwater? If so how long can they hold? Would they know when to come up to take a breath?

amore07 Well, if they were just born they would still have the liquid in their lungs and would be able to stay underwater. But I'm not sure for how long. They wouldn't be able to go back underwater after they took their first breathe because the liquid in their lungs...
