whats your preferred programming tool?

i like to build a program. whats the best tool for newbies like me. all i know is the else if condition. i want to enrich my programming interest. is there a way(S) i can do?

andymack Agreed. Visual Basic would be my choice. Its simple and clear and the express editions also come with tutorial and how to guides. Just dont mix up vb6 and .NET. VB was rewriten when .NET was released. You can get express here:

andymack I learnt VB6 and find it very useful. theres also a huge online gathering purely for vb6 as when M$ introduced .NET they redid all the commands and stuff for vb. alot of people didnt want to learn the new vb and so theres still lots of vb6 out there. Also...
