batchelorboy They'd possibly last a couple of months if you stored them in the refrigerator. Anything in brine should last a lot longer if refrigerated.

batchelorboy It's the green leaves of the wild garlic that are most commonly used in cooking. They should be washed before use, as with all wild/fresh vegetables, and you can chop and add to recipes like you would regular garlic.

I am trying a new recipe tomorrow, and it calls for corn starch. I do not have any corn starch, but would like to make the recipe tomorrow. What can I use in place of corn starch.

batchelorboy It depends what you need the corn starch for. You could probably use plain flour instead mixed well with enough water to make a smooth paste before adding to the recipe although the final result wouldn't be as good as if you'd used corn starch.
