brownchap1 glad to hear your husband is filling the freezer. Smell is important but watching the wind is critical, especially with deer, elk, and most big game. We should all be clean in the woods not just for animals but sure is nice for humans as well. Being quiet,...

Why is squirrel hunting not so popular today?

brownchap1 @brownchap1 (16) • United States 27 Jan 07

I was introduced to hunting by hunting squirrels. My dad was by myside and taught me to be still, quite, and look for sign of this game, like water and feed trees or cuttings. Game was plentiful and action constant which kept...

brownchap1 I totally agree, squirrels are fun and yet give a challenge to hunt. Keep promoting to hunt these critters and it is a nice, safe hunt to introduce new hunters to our sport.

brownchap1 I am glad you enjoy hunting and i know your grandfather has taught you well. My dad taught me how to hunt and we never have used camo and feel just a part of hunting as anyone else. I believe game see movement and camo offers no help but each to his own and...

Do we live in an introvert world?

brownchap1 @brownchap1 (16) • United States 13 Feb 07

We talk by cell phone, use computers, tint our windows, put fences up in our backyards, and have front stoops for the front door. It seems to me, we all want to be left alone. If people get together it has to be for a reason, for...

brownchap1 I have to agree but it is sad that we are so busy that we do not even try to get together it is just to much work and effort so why bother. I am going to make and effort to bother my friends and family and hope it will rub off on them to do the same. But I...

brownchap1 I agree, people today just care about themselves and that is it. I know not all people are this way but alot are. I have relatives who know people halfway across the world but do not know their neighbor. People use to help each other and care for one another...

Reloading vs Store Bought

kods104 @kods104 (49) • United States 5 Jan 07

Do you reload or buy ammo from the store?

2 responses

brownchap1 I but ammo from the store. I mostly use a shotgun and find that store bought ammo shoots consistant with my shotgun. Also I do not have the time or money to spend reloading. But if you need to try different loads do to the terrian or animal you are hunting, go...

What is the greatest American made double barrel shotgun ever made?

brownchap1 @brownchap1 (16) • United States 16 Jan 07

What makes your choice of gun so great?

brownchap1 I believe the best american made double is an A H Fox. the quality of work, fall in the butt, design are just fabulous. The Parher gets all the attention, but in my opinion the A. H. Fox is far superior, especially the 20 gauge model.

brownchap1 I like to hunt for it gets me out in the woods and makes me relax and unwind. the part of taking an animal is not the most important part but just to sit and relax and just slowdown. it is a great way to get alone with your thoughts and i enjoy the time to...
