Can you install an OS using the USB drive?

I am just curious. What if you don't have a cd/dvd drive, can you copy all the files from an OS installer to a USB storage device and load install it to your system?

cachehit surely,but you should format your usb in order to recognized by your os. if you want to install os with usb.you also burn entire files about os into usb (like using the real cd drive to burn)

cachehit thank you .but if you have a look at what i have arraigned ,you will understand why i don't go to cloudcrowd.lol because my country's firewall prevent the access to facebook(cloudcrowd,twitter and so on)
