pink bee like insect

hi i was gardening and came across a insect it had a bee like doby but was pink and had small wings near end of its abdomin and green eyes it fly away before i could take a picture any one know what they are

d2jayfire i have an idea of what it was i just thought i found a new breed of bee but instead when i tried to get close up pictures of it i foud it was actually a leaf cutter bee carrying bright pink peddals from my rose bush
