craftcatcher Hi darberg! I find that my FM gets much worse when I'm having bouts of insomnia so if I can't get some good sleep I take small doses of Melatonin and that really seems to help. I prefer natural ways to deal with my FM also but there are times when nothing...

craftcatcher That's for sure. Stress is the worst, even moreso than overdoing. Overdoing can keep me sore for several day but stress can throw me into a flair-up for weeks. I find that Tai Chi really helps, nothing complicated just the basics. It's good exercise and easier...

patgalca Heat definitely helps with the pain. Exercise helps keep your muscles from atrophying, releases uplifting chemicals from your brain, and helps you to keep your weight in control. A lot of fibromites are overweight due inactivity and/or medication. Natural...

howard96h Hi darberg, welcome to mylot! I don't get enough as I should, I HATE to excercise. I never was into that, I love walking and can walk long distance. I force myself to get on that stationary bike and do it a few times a week but I really hate doing it.

Darkwing I intend to stop smoking as soon as I get my weight down a little more, and I'm also going to get a new bike, so that I can get out in the fresh air and forget about smoking. I'm going to use herbs to help me through this, such as white willow bark, which...

Darkwing I've been dieting now for five weeks and I've lost 24lbs. Naturally, I lost a lot in the first week, because I lost the water I was retaining, but it's steadied up now to between two and four pounds per week. I have cut my carbohydrates and eat a lot of...
