darth_eletius If you are behind a router, you don't need to use a firewall on your computer. There might be issues in the router/wireless access point. Try resetting it if you have access.

darth_eletius Also, backing up your files and erasing your hard disk, then reinstalling Windows can help A LOT. I do this to all of my Windows systems at least every 2 years.

darth_eletius I would not use Vista with a Celeron processor, even if the clock speed is pretty fast. There are other things in Celerons that make them slower than a P4 of the same 'speed' and definitely slower than a Core or Core 2.

darth_eletius I agree, since a computer, strictly without any software but the operating system can do nothing but boot and let you play with windows(maybe) and push files around(that you cannot open).
