econger Don't waste your time or your money, you'll regret it. We threw away money in to the reincarnation of Amway, called Quixtar, all the while not realizing what it actually was. It's an MLM/pyramid scheme, though how they get around the legalities of that I...

Would you call the police

if you saw someone being hurt, kidnapped, a car being broken into? If the crime did not involve you, would you call the police?

23 responses •

econger If I was witness to a crime, yes, I'd call the police-- as long as I was in a safe position to do so. If I had to ensure my own safety first, I'd do so, and then call. Unfortunately, not everyone feels compelled to offer that sort of assistance. When I...

Should flag-burning be a crime?

Lackingstyle @Lackingstyle (7509) 29 Oct 06

Is criminalising flag-burning a restriction of freedom of expression? Though I realise a fair few countries already have the law in place are you content with that? Separate if possible whether or not it should be a crime one...

econger No, I don't feel it should be a criminal offense. It's a piece of cloth. As long as you're not burning down someone's house along with it, I see no reason why it should not be a valid form of expression. I'm not about to run out and do it myself, but if...

econger Good luck with that. I've tried, more than once, in the past to give it up. Hasn't really worked so well, seeing as I still smoke. I've heard that after the first week or so the cravings will decrease. I suppose it's like any addiction, it needs time to...
