Quotations denote distilled wisdom. Do you love/use them?

Pushhyarag2000 @Pushhyarag2000 (1416) • India 5 Oct 11

Hello myLotters, From my early childhood, I have held special fancy for quotations. Every time I read a quote somewhere and related to it in some way, I used to reflect on it over & over again. Before the advent of internet, I...

fangirl20 Reading quotes is a great way to express thoughts, or ideas that you just can't verbalize or to enhance arguments and discussions. I can't remember quotes that well, but I enjoy reading them, especially if they're written by my favorite...

fangirl20 Its not just Surveyhead that does this, *all* survey websites/companies/jobs do this. Since alot of people have signed up to do surveys, and the companies they're doing research for only need a certain demographic, they need to make sure they have the right...

fangirl20 I aboslutely adore it! I haven't liked a series this much since Supernatural... which is a Very Big Deal. I really hope they're going to continue after series two... as far as we know, they're going to stop after that! :(

A Muslim Cultural Center in the MIDDLE of Ground Zero: Good or bad?

Markiz @Markiz (1) • Singapore 4 Oct 11

Personally, i feel its the psyche behind terrorism. many think its because of religion itself. No. it is the people who contort religion to fit their needs in this case, mass murder. yet, i find it horribly disturbing that barely...

fangirl20 I think it is time that us Americans start looking past these 'generalizations'. We live in the 21st century, we can't keep ideals from the stone ages! God wants us to treat everyone as equals, and live with an open mind. After doing research, and talking to...

eating stinging nettle roots

Stephan @stk40m (1118) • Koeln, Germany 5 Oct 11

today I pulled out stinging nettles in the garden. While doing so I noticed that their roots are quite thick and I wondered if they might be edible. To my astonishment I found out they are and that they are even used in medical...

fangirl20 I have never even heard of that before! I'm curious now... There have always been strange/ bizarre ingredients that chefs use in their foods, but this is the first time I'm hearing of using nettles! Do you think you can use them in any sort of recipe?

mentalward @mentalward (14690) • United States 5 Oct 11

Yep, I am. I haven't tattled on anyone in decades. I mean, since I was little and usually tattled on my sister. But, I just did it again a few minutes ago. My husband just got home on Sunday from being in the hospital for 5...

fangirl20 I was definitely at tattler when I was young.. I was always really shy when I was little, and the other kids liked joking around a lot because of that. (it also didn't help that I was younger than them due to skipping a grade). I never really knew how to...

The new season of Supernatural

secretbear @secretbear (19448) • Philippines 2 Oct 11

I wonder if Castiel's really gone of he's just somewhere in the purgatory trying to get out after the whatchamacallit being took over his human host body. I thought his reign as god would last for more than one episode. I was even...

fangirl20 Castiel's acts of god are hilarious. I thought that they would stretch out that arc, but I guess they want to establish the Leviathans as the monsters of the season, instead of Cas. It would be an incredible bad move if they get rid of him, though. A) The...

So, Who Likes to Read or Write Anime Fanfiction?

silvernutbar @silvernutbar (904) • United States 4 Aug 11

I've spent considerable time writing and reading anime based fanfiction. I only published a short few of these stories on the net, but I write many. Who else likes to read or write these stories?

fangirl20 The only Amine fanfiction I have ever read is for Inuyasha and YuGiOh. I find it hard to find safe websites to watch the shows on, so I've only dabbled a little. Compared to my other fandoms, its been difficult to find quality fanfiction for these fandoms....

fangirl20 I absolutely love fanfiction! I'm not a writer, but I've been an avid (read: obsessive) reader for the past ten years. I think that you should try to dabble in fanfiction again- it is a surefire way to practice your writing skills and test your writing styles...
