Recession?

2004cqui @2004cqui (2812) • United States 2 Aug 12

It sure seems odd to me that when we were raising our children I bought the groceries, paid the medical bills, paid the medical insurance premiums, transportation bill and still had enough money for "frills". The kids are gone now...

2004cqui We rarely eat out. We'd rather invest in a $250 meat pack from the butcher than spend it all in one or two nights. This is just horrible!

Sticks and stones may break my bones....

dansazz @dansazz (1058) • United States 2 Jul 12

But words will never hurt me. I remember this saying when I was a child. Why did parents teach this? Especially as a child, words did hurt me. Words can hurt you worse then sticks and stones. Does anyone believe this as well?...

dansazz Yes, all these anti bullying campaigns don't tell you what you really need to do to get rid of a bully, and that is to kick his arse. They will leave you alone if you show them what it is like. It doesn't matter about size, stand up to them. They are looking...

I finished plastering my roof

flamez3r0 @flamez3r0 (319) • Puerto Rico 8 Jun 12

It took me a long time, and it doesn't look that good, but I did it. I plastered my roof by myself, even when I had never plastered anything in my life before and it dried without falling off or anything exploding. I can do...

Bluedoll What do you mean plastered your roof? Do you mean with tar? I've heard of plastering inside walls but never a roof. I like things we set out to do and then succeed in it. I think thats a good idea and might borrow it if it ok. Make one goal and do it, sounds...

Massage Experiences

JieMing @JieMing (89) • United States 8 Jun 12

Hi, I have never gotten a professional massage, but I am thinking about spending the money to do it. I don't know much about them, however. I often have back pain so I think maybe a massage could help my body feel a lot better. A...

philosophy in video games

flamez3r0 @flamez3r0 (319) • Puerto Rico 3 Jun 12

Lately I have been playing games that are simple and with a storyline that is shallow and mostly comedy, but yesterday I played binary domain, expecting one of those "kill the baddies because they are bad" stories. However, after...

Bluedoll I think this is where video games should go or they will only be bad. There are endless possiblities certainly. Storyline is extremely important along with quality graphics. Not everyone likes it but I feel in love with the sims 1,2,3 games and...

Atheists convert people to what?

Frederick42 @Frederick42 (2043) • Canada 2 Jun 12

There are people who say that atheists are trying to convert the believer. But to what are the atheists converting the believer? The atheist has no holy book, no beliefs, no church, no temple. The atheist, if he is sharing his...

iuliuxd That`s a simplistic way to look at the problem.Every person has strong beliefs and every person is trying to force his beliefs on others. So the militant atheist doesn`t want to free people from their beliefs, he wants to make people slaves of his own beliefs.

Is there a way to melt plastic without releasing toxic fumes?

flamez3r0 @flamez3r0 (319) • Puerto Rico 26 May 12

Hello :). I'm planning on melting plastic to make some panels to cover a drain hole that runs behind my house. It doesn't need to be specially strong or anything, just that it last enough to avoid leaves and grass to go down and...

PageTurner Hello I don't think that it's possible to melt plastic without releasing toxic fumes. The best you may hope for is how to control the fumes so that they don't harm you or others. I have heard that certain lasers help in less release of fumes, but I really...

I love being a man, I don't have to worry too much on how I look. As long as I don't look like a homeless man, no one cares too much at how I look. So today, since it's warming up at last, I cut my own hair. I had so much I...
