Would you rather be rich or poor, or in between?

Sawsen @Sawsen (793) • United States 10 Feb 07

My husband and I don't have a lot of money, but we're extremely satisfied with our lives. I mean some days it wouldn't hurt to have a little extra cash, but it's nothing to be depressed about. I know a lot of people who have a lot...

flubula I dunno if I would phrase the question that way myself. Money itself is pretty much meaningless. What do I mean by this? If you don't know or understand what truly makes you happy, you can spend a lot of money on things that don't really satisfy...

Life, society, human kind, would have ben better off without religion

soadnot @soadnot (1606) • Canada 6 Feb 07

if there was no religion, our civilization would have been 10 times more advanced. ever since the crusades it has slowed down scientific discovery. it scared people into believing the world was square and at the center of the...

flubula I know this is a rather simplified answer to your complicated question, but I think even if there was no religion, humans over history, would have simply used some other excuse to make war, take each others land/property, and control one another.
