Would you let your child have a cell phone?

I am wondering at the moment how old a child should be before they are allowed to have their own cell phone. I was ten when I got mine, but I got it because I needed to keep in touch with some of my family who lived on the other...

hongni55 I agree with vaishnavc. First,the child must be responsible enough.Second,if my kid will go to high school and for away form my house,then i will give him/her a phone to make sure we can keep in touch with each other.
