brokentia I have to say, that is pretty cool!!! I have ever seen a recipe that will take the place of Hamburger Helper. And I bet it IS healthier because they don't have all those things added to it. Thanks for sharing!!!

gewcew23 My family eats a lot of these because they are quick and easy, and also quite cheap. Like with all things homemade I bet these are so much better tasting than the store bought. Thanks for the great post and recipes.

villageanne I think that that would work fine. The purpose of simmering it together is to blend the flavors into one. so if you do blend everything except the pasta and then add the pasta later, it sould still be great.

Willowlady Hubby cannot eat Hamburger Helper since he had his gall bladder out. Maybe we will be able to eat this, we will have to try. Thanks for this though, will send them off with the kids when they get places of their own. Thanks for sharing this with all of Mylot.

winterose I love my own macaroni and meat, but my son doesn't like it. He prefers hamburger helper. I can't stand the stuff. Although I used to like the chili tomato. Just my luck they don't sell it here anymore.
