In honor of those in service - The yellow ribbon has become a symbol of our awaiting the return of our loved ones from service to the country. I can still recall word for word and note for note the song 'Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Old Oak Tree' about a soldier returning from service not knowing how his loved ones would receive him, the song which has made the display of yellow ribbons a tradition.
