How do you reject a marriage proposal without scaring off your boyfriend?

How will you respond if your boyfriend proposed marriage to you but you are not really ready to settle down. It's not that you don't love him it's just that you feel that starting a family is not a good idea for you at this time.

jem22_jem22 I would tell straight to his face that I am not ready to settle down. It is better to be real than to make a fool out of him just because you don't want to hurt him.

jem22_jem22 If I were in your shoe, I would start using my time looking for a better work opportunity. It doesn't really matter if I stay working in the same industry. What is important is the money I will be earning... Once a door close, another opportunity will come...
