Writing in the present tense.

patgalca @patgalca (18488) • Orangeville, Ontario 28 Mar 07

Have you ever written a story in the present tense? Have you ever read one in the present tense? I think it would be awfully hard to write like that. I have submitted a short story to an award winning author for critique. I...

There are a few things I am needing prayer for. I hope you can help me with this. 1) My car needs an EGR valve and will cost $400. I need you to pray that I can work enough to afford it. And to find the part for cheaper somewhere...

These kids are horrible...what could you have done?

earth2jacq @earth2jacq (1498) • Philippines 2 May 07

Last night as I was giving myself a pedicure, I heard laughing and screaming noises outside our house. Intrigued, I decided to go and see what the fuss is all about. To my horror and dismay I saw six kids age ranging from 5-7...

Is A Loan Worth Your Self Respect?

katzbee @katzbee (91) • Canada 23 Apr 07

A young female friend in her late thirties who has been a widow for just a year, recently needed a short term loan to do some emergency repair to her home. So she went to her bank to talk to the Loans manager, who was not only a...

caribe Actually, I think she handled the situation pretty well and did the right thing. The Loan Manager got his his world rocked a little bit and she still got her loan with out losing her respect, the way I see it and she had witnesses to the loan.

danishcanadian I would have told the bank manager and his wife! I would have also recorded the conversation when he came to the house, where he was pleading and crying, proving that he'd put her in an awkward position, and I would have sent that tape to local television...

mizrak07 I would have told his wife, the bank manager and the preacher. He can't be trusted, they have to know the truth about what kind of man they're dealing with. If he could do that to a family friend then you could imagine what he's capable of doing to other...

earth2jacq The nerve of that loan manager. To think that he is an elder at their church. To grant and review loans are his main job as a loan manager how could he use his influence for his personal gain. It is not the job of the loan manager to "guarantee a loan with no...

Do you have a tried and true recipe for goulash?

hockeygal4ever @hockeygal4ever (10021) • United States 22 Apr 07

Growing up goulash was one dinner that my mother prepared often. Her version was pretty basic, pasta, sauce & meat. As I went out on my own I added a few extras, mainly green/red bell peppers and onion and sometimes cheese baked...

hockeygal4ever How neat! I have to say, adding chicken to it is definitely different! I wonder why we all seem to call it "goulash", as if it were authentic when it's basically a casserole of any type! LOL So who won the actual cookoff? A brown gravy, authentic, version or...

True or false? The internet has made our world today a much smaller place &

hockeygal4ever @hockeygal4ever (10021) • United States 22 Apr 07

we are mainly better off with the ability to be in contact just about any where in the world using our "connection" via the internet? While so many find fault immediately with the net, I tend to see it for all the good it's...

Homeless people sleeping in the cold.

patgalca @patgalca (18488) • Orangeville, Ontario 6 Feb 07

hockeygal4ever @hockeygal4ever (10021) • United States 16 Apr 07
