Laptop getting switched off automatically

Sometimes, if I use my laptop for more than 2 hrs, it get switched off automatically. Can anyone detect what's gone wrong with it ?

mkova109 Hi, Does it happens when on batteryl or when charger is plugged in? It may be cooling system (overheating), but it may also be power managment issue. Best regards :)

switching os

i'm starting to think of switching to linux os..ubuntu specifically..many IT companies in my country nowadays are using ubuntu..and i think it's gonna be hard for me if i'm not familiar with it.. hope i'll learn to love...

mkova109 Hi, It won't be hard to switch from windows. Linux GUI is simillar to windows. And when you run it you'll see how fast you'll accommodate in it's enviroment. LIVE CD is good advice. It would be best to run it first to see how it looks like. Better question...

I just wanna share this experience of mine. A neighbor ask me to repair her computer. It keeps on restarting i think before it reaches windows logo. I immediately reformat it. Windows XP SP3. I successfully installed the OS though...

mkova109 Hi, Actually you can't tell if any DIMM is bad until you run MEMTEST. If I were you I would test HDD for errors with HDD regenerator or simillar program just to make sure. Ram can't affect PC to have same boot problems, HDD can. So you need to test HDD...

Toshiba Laptop problem help needed please

We have the Toshiba laptop and its not booting up It starts and then says you PC ran into a problem and we are go to restart and then goes to a blank screen after a few minutes Help

mkova109 Hi, You can download ISO file from microsoft website for your exact version of windows. Burn it to DVD. If you have Vista, Win 7 or Win 8 then you'll be able to boot from that disk and select Startup repair option under Windows installation. It's safest...
