Healthcare, isn't it supposed to be a good thing?

Makro74 @Makro74 (591) 23 Mar 10

With the passing of the Healthcare Bill, why are so many people against such a move which in theory provides healthcare for ALL Americans? The only reasons given that it is unconstitutional or the US cannot afford it. But surely,...

mslena75 Because Americans are pigheaded and don't like change. At the root of all here the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR, and God forbid that people are started to be treated equally! I for one am pleased. It's not a NHS, but it's a step in the right direction. People are fussing...

Where do you keep your books?

allyoftherain @allyoftherain (7208) • United States 20 Mar 10

If you're like me, you're an avid reader who owns lots of books. Personally, I have trouble finding places to put them all. I have one bookshelf which I have stacked the books in horizontally so that I could fit as many books in...

mslena75 I don't buy many books. I check them out from the library, or I will buy a few on my Nook, which is nice, since it can up to 1500, and more if I expand the memory.

credit card or debit card?

swetashah @swetashah (345) • United States 21 Mar 10

It is a dilemma, and I just don't know how should I use my debit card, and at what situation I should use it. Since many articles advise not to use debit card on big bucks items, or "pay it now, delivery late" type of items. I...

A different view of the Health Care Law

bobmnu @bobmnu (8157) • United States 23 Mar 10

I was listening to the radio and there was a man from the Heritage Foundation (a Conservative Group). This person is a Health Care specialist at the foundation. He pointed out that the difference between this bill and the one that...

mslena75 I would assume that water exercise would be a good choice, as the water alleviates any pressure that may be put on the joints.

I Am A Meat Eater. Sometimes I Feel Guilty Eating It. Do You?

Janey1966 @Janey1966 (24170) • Carlisle, England 14 Mar 10

Manners - An Age Thing?

mslena75 I'm not sure. I think today that many children just aren't taught manners by their parents. I can't count the number of times I have been practically mowed over by young people with no word at all. Heck, in the neighborhood where I live, I have had kids leave...

mslena75 Honestly I have no suggestions. I don't think any of them are suited, pretty sure it's going to be a train wreck! But then again perhaps I will be pleasantly surprised.

Extending Unemployment Compensation

bobmnu @bobmnu (8157) • United States 10 Mar 10
