how much to pay the babysitter

Hi! I am curious how much do you typically pay your sitters for a night out. In the past my in laws have sat for our 1 year old and refused our money. Whats the going rate to pay a responsible senior in high school for an evenings...

multimum When I was babysitting I have asked for up to $15 per hour. And as far as I know that is the going rate. Well here in Australia it is.

multimum Oh yeah I loathe walking behind someone at the shop and then BANG! they just stop in front of you! You often get a wham in the noggin if you dont watch out!

multimum I try very hard to be punctual. I will never forget when my babies were younger and we had to go out. My mum had my eldest son and I had my infant twins to get ready.. I was still ready before her!!

multimum I smile when I look at my family and see what I have achieved in my life so far. To some it is nothing but to me it is a lot. Being a Mum to a largefamily is a huge achievement. Just wish my eldest son could be here to share in it too.
