My work place is far from my home and it takes me 90mins to 120mins to get there. I go by public transport (taxis) and i usually leave home very early. It takes this long because of traffic problems. ordinarily without traffic problems it shouldn't be more than 30mins. Thanks

Though I don't work in a regular place I work within the distance of 15km. This two weeks I’m working in a nearby place and my commute between home and office is only 2km. Normally I ride a car to office and in my place I seldom face any traffic problems

having a workplace within 15km is really good as it saves time. my work place is just 2-3km away from home so i just walk down sometimes.

I have to drive a whopping 5 miles to work! It takes me about 5 minutes....maybe 8 if there is 'traffic.' Yes,small town. My short commute and ease of navigating ANYWHERE is one of the VERY FEW perks of this town! Of course, there are few places for one to go! But, if you decide to go somewhere, it sure won't take long to get there! For the most part, we have to drive 3 hours to get to a mall, computer store, anything besides walmart. I do a LOT online!

5 miles is pretty close. and i love such places where you can get everything close by. long drives are usually on weekends so it would be fun. thanks

Our office in Dublin City Centre. We live about 5 miles away from the office. WE have a car which we use for getting into the office. We start work at 12noon so we miss the major heavy traffic but there does be some traffic the odd time. It can take about 20minutes average to get to work. Coming home at 6pm can be a bit worse, traffic does be mad as everyone os finished work and shoppers are going home etc. WE're just lucky we don't live further away as it can take people sometimes 2 hours to get home in snail traffic. I wouldn't like that, not after a hard days work.

My workplace is some 3 kilometers away from my place that is some1.5 miles. I have a scooter and a car but I'm very poor in driving four wheelers so I generally prefer two wheeler to goto office. I sometime also ask my husband to drop me till office if I'm not in a mood to drive. Yes, in Pune there is lot of traffic problem and I suffer a lot because of pollution too.

Before this i had to travel approximately 1 hour from my parents' house to my workplace.. very tired by the end of the day. So, 6 months ago, i decided to move out and stay near to my workplace so i can do other things after working hours. The house i rented with my sister is just 1 km from my workplace... so by car it will only take 5 minutes... not much traffic and only one traffic light... :)

I do not work at regular places all the time because I need to be at clients place most of the time. I moved about using public transport. Depending on where I need to be, I either take a bus, train or cab. Taking train is best during peak hours as timing is fixed and predictable as there is no jam. My own office is about 30 minutes journey by bus from home.

hey 30 minutes drive in bus is ok as time passes easily. travel by train is best in peek hours it saves time. here after the metro rail started in our place i was surprised to go to my friends place in just 18 minutes while in bus it would take not less than 35-40 minutes. thanks

My job involves all India transfer liability. I have worked far away places and my colleagues will say that I will be in an angry mood on the very first working day after the holiday (ie the day I returned from home). But slowly I began to adjust myself and now I am working only at a distance of 6 kilometers away my home. But here also I have to make frequent travel with my boss in govt vehicle and I have no problem in travel even though the work is full of tension
