many of people will say that christian, will be free from suffering, God always bless us, etc. but if God is good , sometime He must let us to live in the suffering. why? no glory without cross, no grow without cost. we are christian, but we still living in the world. so we must face the problem, but we believe that our problem not more than our strength, we face the problem like playing the game, so we never afraid.change our mind that the problem is good. the problem will make us grow up. and we will say welcome the problem and we will overcome you and we will go to the next level and welcome the next problem, because i will overcome you too. problem is game, and game never become the winner, we are the winner of tha game, because we are the owner of this game. i am sory if you don't understand what i meant, because so hard for me to explain it thank you very much

You're absolutely right. Suffering does not cease when we learn to trust in God, but there is good news too. God uses that suffering we go through to bring about good things in our life. "And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 ASV)

let my views count. christians, once baptized actually has ended all his sufferings. he is a new man, new born (so as one religion claims it-born again). when we are born again with Christ sufferings should not be considered as such but, a purpose in life to be driven. as one member of our church says when he was not a christian yet, he lived a good life. when he became a member, all problems came pouring down on him. is he making any sense? i'm not to judge as the bible tells me so. but wouldn't it be fair to God himself if we account all the sufferings we're going thru to Him? God does not punish. He is good to all believers or non-believers. the good life doesn't start here on earth. we may "suffer" physically its nature's work. but, these sufferings are nothing if we are truly with God.

these people suffered for a purpose. God has a mission for them to fulfill. Even Jesus suffered. for in suffering, one is tested how true and reliable he is. it is where we will get our own strength when the time comes we face troubles. no pain or even suffering lasts forever.

I live in a country in which everybody says to be Catholic, but in truth only a few people go to church and really care about Christianity. My country is Italia, Italians are very ignorant about their religion and it's difficult to find people who read the bible or know something about Jesus. I'm not Catholic, so I don't care at all about this religion, and yet you are right, Christianity is based on the ethic of the suffering. Teresa of Calicut said: the most you suffer, the most Jesus loves you. If you suffer a little you are not a good Christian. I don't care about these things, suffering is a part of our nature, but I'm never happy to suffer and if I can avoid suffering, I avoid it.

I think I know what you say. I don't think God want us to suffer but the devil hates us because we are believers. he will try anything to draw us away from God. We must turn his attacks around and when faced with it, turn to God and just worship Him. The devil hates it but God knows that you will come closer to Him when you resist the devil. Not always easy but God is faithfull. ust keep your eyes on Him and worship Him in those dificult times. Blessings.

A caterpillar does not become a butterfly without struggle. We who are born-again need to grow into mature believers. Without struggle and difficulties we do not learn to lean on God. We need His Grace to get through each and every day. He wants us to bring all of our problems and concerns to Him on a daily basis and He will take us through each and every one and make us more like Jesus. We will begin to have the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace,long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith (Gal. 5:22). All the Lord asks is that we trust Him. First for salvation and then for every minute of every day. He is worthy of our praise!

being a Christian is NOT suffering. don't be mistaken suffering for daily challenges. as long as you live in this world you will have challenges. notice i say challenges instead of problems. if you disown the challenges, you are neglecting your respnosibility and this becomes a problem. if you ignore the problem you will suffer the consequences. Christianity is christianity. If you face the daily challenges and take responsiblitiy for what may comes, you grow. grow in mind, body and spirit. refuse that you life will be suffering. Being a Christian doesn't cause suffering. it HELPS!

PEOPLE say that we will have no trouble. GOD, however, makes it clear that we will be "persecuted for his names sake." He tells us to expect hardships and trials and he also tells us how to get past them. "There is therefore no temptation taken you but such is as common to man, but God is faithful who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will with the temptation also make a way of escape that you may be able to bear it." That means that God will not allow us to go through anything that we can't handle. He will make a way of escape and with his help we will get past the suffering and pain.
