John Edwards must have read the myLot discussion regarding his $400.00 haircut he is going to pay the campaign fund back!!(LOL). However if you read the article at first it says it was a mistake yet further down it says it was a legitimate expenditure?? Hello!.... which one is it?? John Edwards Pays Campaign Back for $400 Haircuts From Beverly Hills Stylist Thursday, April 19, 2007 WASHINGTON — Democrat John Edwards is trying to get out of a hairy situation, reimbursing his presidential campaign $800 for two visits with a Beverly Hills stylist. Two $400 cuts by stylist Joseph Torrenueva, who told The Associated Press that the former North Carolina senator is a longtime client, showed up on Edwards' campaign spending reports filed this weekend. Edwards spokesman Eric Schultz said it never should have been there. "The bill was sent to the campaign. It was inadvertently paid," Schultz said. "John Edwards will be reimbursing the campaign." Edwards is also the subject of a popular YouTube spoof poking fun at his youthful good looks. The video shows the candidate combing his tresses to the dubbed-in tune of "I Feel Pretty." Federal Election Commission records show Edwards' campaign also spent $250 in services from Designworks Salon in Dubuque, Iowa, and $225 in services from the Pink Sapphire in Manchester, N.H. John Edwards' Presidential Campaign Paid for $400 Haircuts Schultz said those services were legitimate campaign expenditures to prepare Edwards for media appearances. Political candidates often have hair and makeup done before media appearances. Edwards rival Hillary Rodham Clinton got some attention last year when her campaign paid $2,500 for two hairstyling sessions that the campaign classified as media production expenses. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,267042,00.html

Honest to God, this just makes my blood boil and my hair stand on end. (pun intended) To think that these &**($%# politicians spend these outrageous amounts on making themselves 'picture perfect' for a campaign while children in their country go hungry and elderly do without medications is nauseating. So, do they think that the voting public is so shallow-minded that we will be spurred by their 'good looks' and vote for them based on their looks rather than their campaign? That further angers me and insults my intelligence! Perhaps the public should start a campaign of our own, vote for the 'ugliest' candidate, as they have their priorities in order!!!

I guess he found that coupon for $2 off at FirstChoice haircuts you sent him. There still does seem to be some confusion still as to whether personal hygeine should be a legitamate expense, but it does at least prove he is hearing what is being said so maybe the haircut was worth it.

I have some legitimate expenses too, and find that this is hard to swallow. Hillary's hair probably cost more than my entire wardrobe. When politicians start experiencing what real people go through, they will have more legitimacy at the polls.

I think he should have to go to pro cuts and get a 12.00 haircut like the rest of the world. Let him live on my budget for a few months and see how long his hair gets...lol I'm sure it was all just a terrible mistake....hahaha
