Being True to your Word...

I had a great pastor that taught me that no matter what you do you be true to your word. If you say you're gonna be there at a certain time you show up at that time. If you are gonna me even a minute late you call and let the person know.
I've learned to do this now because of him. Sometimes I will give about a 15 minutetime frame that I will be there instead of an exact time that way if there is traffic problems or something goes haywire I have a few minute slot.
Does anyone else do this? Or am I the only one?

I do it and I usually give myself a few extra mintues. If I know I can be somewhere in 30 mintues I usually say I'll be there in 45 just in case something comes up or happens while driving. There is always traffic. If I'm going to be late then I will call and let the person know so they can go ahead without me and me meet up with them or just so they can know that I am a few minutes behind. I just think it's the right thing to do because I was also taught that.

I know this since a long and I always try to follow this rule as a daily regulation, but I can't say this always because this is the thing all have to follow and I think people are trying their best to follow!
Let's consider this thing commonly applyed and most of the people are really following this, not few people or individuals only!
I think this is the right approach because in real life there are so many people are puncual!
