my beloved just bought me a "new to me" van. Chrysler Town and Country. IT is so comfy and has more room than other vans we have looked at. It is all leather interior, has heated and power seats and a whole nifty package of enjoyables. I think the only drawback is going to be that it is a bit of a gas guzzler.

Oh MOdestah!
You lucky little thing you!
YOur new ride sounds just wonderul...and you are certainly worth it.
I can tell you from experience that You will love the heated and power seats. I don't know how I ever lived without them...watch out though, your tooshy will get pretty toasty and you will find yourself shutting them off after a little while (smile)
Take a nice ride today and enjoy!

I never even knew there was such a thing as heated seats. Goodness, do they also have vibrating back massage chairs, or magic fingers for the neck and shoulders? after a long drive that would be a bonus for sure! hehe. Well, it is a bit older year 2000 - but on our income we were thrilled to be able to get it. DH said to consider it all the anniversary, Christmas, St Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and every other occasion for gifts that I have not received in the past 10 years all rolled up into one! lol.

The new van sounds really nice. Enjoy your new vehicle and sounds like it will be a very comfortable trip. The one extra I really enjoy on a car is cruise control. My husband decided it wasn't needed on our car, but recently admitted very nice to have.

I have always like those vans. If I were to buy a minivan, that would be the one. We rented one about 5 years ago and I fell in love with it. They are very spacious and drive like a dream. Nice comfy seats too. Congratulations on your van, I am happy for you.

thank-you! we have rented them a handful of times this past year (from Enterprise) and I think that is what prompted the purchase....it was costing us nearly $300 for the rentals every few months ( a friend helped pay for the rental because we were picking up two of her children each time as well)
It is not the "touring" version that we rented as it is before that trim was available - so it does not have the storage in the floor nor does it have the automatic doors. But the doors practically close themselves once you pull on the release.
It has infinity sound which I guess is a selling point (?) but we bought it from a mennonite family and they had removed the antenna, lol - we will get a replacement antenna soon or my husband will go bonkers.
