Fishmomma I'm glad it was a short drive. I left my power cord at home in California one vacation and had to buy a cord in Las Vegas. My husband couldn't believe I would forget it. Now I use both cords a lot, as easy to plug in and not carry the cord room to room.

Fishmomma I freeze produce from my garden also. It means healthy food available during the winter months when the price of produce is high here. Also I think home grown is always better, as I'm eating it.

Fishmomma I can understand businesses that want to close, so their workers can spend time with their families or with friends. Several of my single friends have friend gatherings and I had them when attending college.

Fishmomma That is great that you were able to retire early. I have grown produce in my yard for many years to lower my grocery bill. Its the medical bills and electric bills that kept me from retiring years ago. Thanks for posting.

Fishmomma My biggest factor is my husband, as he has slowed down a lot this year. Many things he use to do are now my job most of the time. I hired somebody to do the yard to reduce down how much I needed to regularly take care of now. It has made a big difference....

Fishmomma We may have to downsize next year to a smaller house. My husband was in bad shape last year and this year he is able to do less than past years. We hired somebody to do yard work making it easier. Thanks for posting.
