A Great Relief

well, I told you all about my dilemma concerning my father's condition. Well, I needed to wait to go down where he is at till after I had a necessary medical test done myself. When I got home from my appointment i got a call.... I was absolutely floored. The caller could only speak a few words but.... It was my Daddy on the phone! WOW! he is out of ICU and making great strides. He said that he did not think he was going to make it a few days ago, he was hallucinating and everything just 48 hours previous. They plan on keeping him where he is for at least 2 more weeks at which time he will be released to stay at a hotel or campground nearby for a month. He will be on a feeding tube that goes directly into his intestines (bypassing the stomach) for the next 2 months.
But, it is certain that he will make it!
Praise be to the Good God!

Oh Praise the Lord, I am afraid I didn't respond to your first discussion concerning your father but I did read it and have been keeping him and the family all in my prayers. I will continue to pray for a speady recovery and healing.

Wow what good news that was to come home to. It is amazing what they can do these days. You have given me inspiration.
I have an MRI appointment set up in the city for Thursday April 26, so after hearing your story it will give me faith to look forward. I'm so happy for you and abviously for your dad as well. Take Care.

Modestah, I am so sorry I missed your first discussion. I am happy to hear your father is doing better, as I know it must have been weighing on your mind greatly. I will keep you & your family in my thoughts and prayers for his speedy recovery. I hope your own health issues improve as well. May God bless you and keep you & your family safe !!

Congratulations on your dad's recovery. went through a very frightening time with my mom two years ago which left us fearing she wouldn't pull through. It turned out she was stronger than anyone thought and while it was a long recovery she is doing very well. I hope it is also the case with your dad and remember to take one day at a time. Small set backs are to be expected.
