As they said, money causes trouble and it's hard to create a trouble with your friend. Maybe on emergency cases but always make sure you will not break your promise in paying him back. Money is easy to get but not friends.

zI think its depend in the situation. If you are really in need of money and its emergency, i think you dont have to think twice and borrow money to your friend. Buti if it is not that important, you should not borrow money to your friend, because its kind a embarassing and maybe he needs it too.

I only borrow change or a dollar at most, a small amount that I can easily pay back ASAP.

You should borrow money from a friend only if you genuinely need it and it is all about a small amount for which you would not like to take a bank loan. But one must make it a point to return it as soon as possible.

I agree with you, it's not good to borrow money from a friend. I've seen a lot of problems because of this. For one, no one should give a friend money unless it's something they can do without, because chances are your friend will not pay you back. And, as a friend, you should not ask for money because it does strain the relationship. But, that doesn't mean that friends can't help each other out. Asking a relative is better, but also not a good idea. The best thing is to keep your credit as good as possible and ask a bank.
