what particular php page at phpnuke did you edit? please be reminded that before tinkering with the php code you should always make a back-up of it on your pc so that if anything goes wrong you can replaced the destroyed file. :)

Sure it would be PHP. PHP as got many advantages over ASP. PHP is easy to learn language. It gets executed much faster than ASP and also it is free to use. PHP hosting services are much cheaper.

it depends on the server ur using on what to use. php is not so complicated compare to asp. but php mostly uses linux based servers and asp is based on windows (microsoft). :)

I think PHP is better than old ASP, but ASP .NET is better than PHP, because it have some built in functions and controls, and it's like programming windows application in visual environments such as C++ Builder for example. But php hosting it's cheaper.

It depends on your skill set. If you know more PHP over ASP i would suggest PHP. If you know both, it comes into the execution of codes and the cost how much to up the site.. my experience.. PHP is the best in terms of code execution and lower cost.

if you are more experience with Microsoft technologies, you can do ASP, but PHP is much more efficient and powerful.

For me, PHP would be better. Why? Because PHP is a cross platform compiler. This means if you coded PHP on Windows, when you migrate the code to Linux for web hosting, it runs just like using Windows. Also, they execute a lot faster than ASP. Another thing is it is an open-source software, which means users can edit PHP for it's betterment if they want to.
