Ever witnessed a meteor shower?

They say that you're lucky if you get to witness a meteor shower because apart from the fact that it doesn't happen everyday, your wish will come true. To witness a meteor shower is, for sure, a very exciting and memorable experience. I hope I could witness one at least once before I die. I feel disappointed that I missed one last night. I just hope that not everyone got to witness it because that would really piss me off LOL What about you? What are your thoughts on this?

It also tells you when the next meteor shower is due. Which is Aug. 13 with 60 per hour in case the site doesn't come up for you.

Yes, I see them all the time when I am out in the desert, but none of my wishes have ever come true.
We have a couple of showers every year that are very predictable. It's great to see them out in the desert because you can see much more of the night sky. It's unbelievable what you can see when you are out there. The Milky Way is bright!
