does family really matters?

it does for me. my family plays an important role in my life before and till now and even till my last breath. i love my family so much and i would do anything and everything for them in any way i can. before my dad died, he made me promise that to take care of my mom and my siblings..and so i did. my family is my life now, i support them to the best i can in anything even if sometimes i need to sacrifice something ......because i always think of them first when am gonna make a decision specially if its a decision for myself. many told me, that its time to think of myself now rather than my family because am not getting any younger. yeah they are maybe right, but then i love them so much and as long as i am alive...i will be here for my family and i wont ever leave them. is it right ????...........

My family is important to me like i am nothing in this world if i they werent there for me. I love my family as much as i love myself. Yes you would be here for your family and wont leave them but think about yourself, your not getting any younger, who will be with you when your family are gone??? you must have your family too so someone will take care of you when your family are not around.

Indeed! It really matters because you should have been here without them (i suppose). In every twist and turn of your life, your family always support and always there for you.
Well, it is in your discretion to spend the rest of your good life to your family, or bring up your own family.

It's wonderful that you can feel that way about your family.
For me, family is less important to me than the people I have chosen to be in my life (my husband, my friends). I didn't get to choose my family, and therefore the abuse I suffered at their hands isn't something I can do anything about, but I can choose people to be close to now who are kind to me.

for me family really matters... family is important... as of now i'm the bread winner in my family even i'm spending most of my salary to my family needs i'm happy doing it coz i love them.. they are one of my inspiration and source of strength yes it's not our obligation to support them but for me i will be happy to do it because i love them....

I agree.Family does matter.I don't know what i would do with out my family. There always there for me. I love my family
