Trust

Do you trust the people around you? I know alot of people but the older I get it seems that I have more aquintances then real friendships because I kinda stand back until you show me that I can trust you. That may be wrong when they haven't done anything in the first place.How are you? Do you trust everyone up front or wait to see what's going to come next? I tend to let things go 6 months or so and see if I get any feed back from others such as "so-so was over the other day and they said you said such-such". I have actually set some up because I didn't think I could trust them. Turned out right but I don't think I should have done it. Kinda made "me" straighten up and give them a chance. They messed up anyway later.. Oh well, how do you handle people that want to be your friend and you don't really like/trust them?

You can trust people and let them prove how trustworthy they are with you. They deserve a chance and even someone that has done something wrong before can be a good person for you. Being forewarned is ok, just don't let it maybe make you miss out on something that could be good. Communication is really key.

I usually go with my intution, most of the time I am right My friend that I have we get along very well, and we have been friends for 320, 39, 49 yrs. those are the friends I have.
really you know if you want to deal with the person.

I have very few actual friends. Lots of acquaintances. I feel more friendly here on myLot. I seem to attract people who cannot stay out of my personal space. They stand too close, repeat the last phrase of what I said, and smile a lot. I know I am exaggerating, but I do seem to find a lot of these people. I feel like my time is way too precious lately, and I do not trust easily as I used to.

I have many aquaintances and casual friends but only a few real tried and true good friends, They have over the years earned my friendship just I have earned theirs and there is nothing I would do not for them. I have have been let down too many time to immediately jump into a deep friendship.
