i was on the computer and paying attention to most of the episode last night, but i think i kind of zoned out. what kind of infection did that girl have? i know they said the radiation killed off the part of her body that was fighting it, and it was their fault for not catching it in time, but i never heard what kind of infection it was. can anyone help? also, share your thoughts on last nights episode, and make sure i didnt miss anything else while i wasnt paying attention. :)thanks!

The weird thing is that the incredible doctor house did not catch something that was so simple but you know they say that smart people can not do a common mans thinking I think it was not up to par with what I have come to expect from house it was still good but just not what I expected of the show I guess they have to throw a curve every now and then to keep you watching

He he, I've done that, too. Luckily, I have been able to watch episode online. But, you can't seem to do that with House. She actually had a staff infection like the other respondent said, but it was caused by her bra hook digging into her. I think this episode was interesting because it didn't mostly involve House's diagnoses and the girl wasn't saved.

Yeah, I like that they are mixing it up a bit with different story lines and that they are giving a history to the other doctors, like Foreman last night. I almost started crying at the end when his mom didn't know it was her son she was hugging.

staph infections are very common, but rarely deadly. Hers was only deadly because of the radiation treatment. It seemed to be aimed at making us think. They were looking for all kinds of exotic explanations for her illness and symptoms instead of something simple. I thought it was standard procedure to run blood cultures first. Poor Foreman.

Ok, so we had a tornado that night, and the weather cut into the tail end. How did they find out about the infection (and, more importantly, what started it)? Last part I saw was House talking to Foreman about how they needed to find out WHAT was killing her, even though they knew she was dying, and Foreman thought it was disrespectful and wouldn't let him. HELP!!! (lol)

that show was scary.i'd never though of getting a staph infection from a bra hook, but i suppose it's entirely possible. gives you food for thought.

It was Staphylcoccus aureous. It is the most pathogenic Staph. infection there is...but it can be treated and is very easily diagnosed. I thought last night's episode was pretty good. I like that they are changing it up a bit with the character plots and all...can't wait to see what happens with Cutty and Wilson!

HI, The radition destroyed her immune system which left her body unable to fight any kind of infection, She if I'm not mistaked had a staff infection cause by the hook on her bra strap, the wound got infection and so begain the sprial.
