apprently according to a band spokesman "Spinal Tap weren't very environmentaly aware. Nigel thought it was something to do with him wearing too many overcoats and if he took one off it'll be cooler"

they've even recorded a new song to promote the cause "The band will also be releasing a new single, Warmer Than Hell, to raise awareness of the ecological crisis we are facing, and Reiner even provided The Guardian with a sneak peak of the moving and inspiring lyrics: "'The devil went to Devon, it felt like the fourth degree/He said, 'Is it hot in here, or is it only me?'" can't wait til it comes out - here in Devon that's scarily accurate.
