To travel with a 'stranger'?

Recently, a male friend I got to know online invited me to travel with him during the vacation. I resisted immediately without any hesitation. But on a afterthought, I found it not a bad idea so long I knew he was not a bad guy. His wife doesn't have the interest for traveling and every year he traveled around all by himself. As I'm also interested in traveling, so he gave me this invitation. Do you think I can accept this invitation. I know he is a real gentleman. But I'm afraid of being criticized or gossiped by other people.

I'm not sure if I would travel with a stranger, especially these days. Even though alot of people seem to be nice, we cannot trust alot of people. I think it is very nice of him to invite you though. I would have resisted also, but if you know him well enough, then I would acceptthe offer. I surely hope that he is a real gentleman. Don't worry about being criticized by others or gossiped about. We can all make our own decision and it is your choice of what you want to do. I would just do whatever you feel is best and not worry about what other people think about it. Good luck and best wishes for happy traveling.

its not that bad but just to be sure you should really prefer not to.. i think what you did was right. though you missed the opportunity of traveling, you know you can always do it next time..and this time around, maybe with someone you know or would really love to spend time with..^_^
