How do I make a scruchie?

Those little things that are used as pony tail holders? I know it's a strip of fabric, and a piece of elastic, but I can't remember how it's all put together. Silly huh? Thank you in advance to anyone that can help. :)

You sew the fabric which is folded in half then weave the elastic through the fabric and sew the end of the elastic together. Then sew the ends of the fabric and that should make a scrunchie.

I have also seen elastics that have pull strings in them. You simply sew the elastic inside of the fabric and then pull the strings on the elastic for a real scrunchy look! These make really cute handbag straps and belts!

I find it much easier to just grab a hair elastic and crochet around it. I like to use eyelash yarn and make double crochets all the way around - it results in a full and interesting looking scrunchie.

I've made these many times as well! My daughters love them. If I was really talented (like my mom) I could probably make some really creative ones. LOL!

i think a good way to make a scrunchie is to start with a regular pony tail holder and just stitch losely some fabric around the pony tail holder another way to make a scrunchie is to start out with regular pony tail holder and tie a ribbon around it you can use all different types of ribbons and ribbons of all different colors and you can make the ribbons of all different lengths i have alot of ribbon scrunchies
