What age do you guys think is the proper age to stop going trick or treating and getting candy? And when did you stop trick or treating? Did you parents make you stop or did you grow out of it?

I think the proper age to stop trick or treating is around 13 or 14 years of age. They are becoming young teenagers or young adults and it isn't very adult-like to go trick or treating for candy. I stopped trick or treating when I was about 13 years old. I was becoming a mature young lady and it just wasn't very mature of me to walk around asking for candy. My parents really didn't make me stop doing it. I pretty much stopped on my own. I simply grew out of it.

I stopped around 10 just because it got boring after awhile and my neighborhood didn't have too many kids in it. I think 10-12 is good, because some 12 year olds still have the mind and body of people considerably younger, but a teenager should NEVER go trick-or-treating.
