Is there any kind of music that puts you in a bad mood?

My fiance is listening to metal right now. And every since he's been listening to it I've all of a sudden found myself in the worst mood. I'm just getting pissed off at the tiniest things. I really think metal is the only kind of music that does this to me. I hate it! I'm seriously about to go in there and rip the speakers out of the computer LOL. He has got to turn this music off! Is there any type of music that just really gets you in a bad mood?

Country music will do it for me. It brings me down, my husband always wanted to play it. Rock can put me in a bad mood also, because I can relate to the lyrics.

I agree country music can be pretty depressing. There are a few good songs I can get into but for the most part they are pretty sad.

Country music for me too. Although if I'm already in a bad mood, metal makes me get some of my frustration out. Of course I look like a freak headbanging in my car!

That's the only time I can tolerate metal is if I'm already in a bad mood. That used to be my way of getting my frustration out. I would just get out in my car and drive around listening to some mean, loud music. But I don't really get the chance to do that anymore.

I don't blame you...I would go crazy if I have to listen to metal. Rap works similar but metal is worst...I think that metal is kind of angry music created by angry people. I might be wrong but I hate it....I am glad my b-friend doesn't like metal....

I'm not to fond of rap either. Some of it is ok like if it makes me laugh. Like I can listen to some old school rap and dance around and be silly to that. But I don't like the newer stuff.

I hate listening to novelty songs in our country. These songs are so popular that every radio stations would play it and it makes noise to my ears. I wanna listen to good music...and novelty songs are not included in my list. :)

That's why I don't listen to the radio. They play the same new songs over and over again and they all suck lol.

I guess this is a matter of taste. Some people like metal and hard rock ,but I can't stand it when I am in a bad mood.I don't know who invented them.Whoever gifted them must have been in a really grumpy mood, lol. So, they decided to let the world suffer eternally, lol.Just kidding.I don't like that genre of music as it sounds more like noise than music to me,but as I said,it's a matter of personal choice.

anything strong sounded, be it heavy metal, rap, even some reggae, rock, new country. I find in my old age I have very little tolerance to noise and confusion, these styles of music generally fill at least one or both shoes of noise and confusion. I especially hate when I am shopping and they are pumping in these sounds..it gets me angry, confused, short of breath. very unproductive, what ever happened to elevator music anyhow - something that blends into the background and is relaxing? I like my music uncomplicated, simple. sweet, lofty. I like Classical, Western Ballads, some old country, some blue grass.... some folk especially music from the Rhineland. I like traditional folk sounds from Ireland, Spain, Italy, Germany etc.

No, music cannot create a bad mood.If i am not liking the music i will just shut it off or tune into another station that plays the kind of music that i like. There are too many things to handle and get worried about in life things like this will not matter to me at all.It is just a matter of whether you want to listen or you dont want to listen. If you did not like it at the begginning itself why to continue listening and then get upset over it!!!

Sorry, modern compositions on the whole leave me cold. It seems to be designed to be as dicordant as possible and the trend is that the more discordant the better. I know it is terribly clever to write and even cleverer to perform but I just hate it. Put me in a bad mood? No, that is too much. No music can do that to me.

I think Jazz is the sole less background music, not because it is made without sole in it but the way it sounds makes me feel no drama no excitement like House music or Metal music... also heavy Techno (or Tech no!)music

Yes! Metal is awful. I'd like to think of myself as a ver yeclectic person, as in I like all different types of music. And while sometimes I like to rock out. Metal is absolutely annoying. There are alot of sounds that really erk my nerves. Especially like the T.V. being on if I'm not watching it. As a matter of fact my boyfriend is watching the tube right now and I sware it's almost got me going nuts. I wonder why that is. I wonder if it's just too much going on, or like maybe it inables me to concentrate on what I am tryign to do but it's really annoying.

Yes, Polka music. Polka's drive me up the wall. When I hear Polka and can't escape it I want to punch kittens and bite old ladies. I want to steal candy from little kids and stuff it in my ears to ease the pain. Polka makes me wish I had a pack like Lora Croft, Tomb Raider; full of weapons and flares. I feel driven to go into a frenzy of killing and maiming! hehe Die polka die!

I dislike loud rap music. Its the fastest way to get a headache. Today while planting somebody drove down the road and I went for some headache medication not long after the car left this road.

I hate that heavy metal and Rap music. I am not really sure that it is even music. LOL I believe that music has the ability to put us in a good mood and also in a bad mood. Music is very powerful.
