Do you like your handwriting?

I know most of us probably spend most of our time using a keyboard but I'm curious: - when you do write, do you like your handwriting? - do you prefer pens over pencils? If you use pens, what color? - do you write in cursive? I think my hand writing could improve, and I think I may work on that the rest of the year. But it's not entirely bad. I definately don't write in cursive - I hate that and as thrilled at school years ago when they told us we didn't have to write in cursive anymore. I much prefer pens over pencils. I like getting purple pens when I can. If I have to choose between the usual blue or black, I go for the blue!

Used to when I was at college. But when I looked back at my handwriting, I just don't know whether I have to laugh or cry. It was just plain ugly!..:) I just don't know why i did not see it before..:)

I also wish i can make my handwriting prettier, but since i've been using keyboards most of the time i never noticed i dont want to write using pens anymore. But asking what color of the pen is, i prefer black than blue. thanks.

I quite like my handwwriting but only when i'm not in a rush. If i have time to sit down and write everything out properly i think it looks quite nice though i don't write with joined up letters which is what i guess you mean by cursive? I prefer to use pens though you always get the problem of smudging the ink. I write in black though i'm not sure why i prefer to do so.

I hate writing in cursive so I print most of the stuff that I have to write out. I have a lot of different pens but right now, gel pens are my favorite. Blue ink isn't my gig, I prefer black or something dark like purple or forest green.

I really don't care for my handwriting. I especially hate it if I'm writing in pencil. I've found that writing in pencil tends to leave my handwriting looking really sloppy and smeared looking. I prefer writing in pen which makes my handwriting look better, but not great.

Have you ever heard of the McLeans Writing Contest. I don't know if that was held in the US but it use to be held in Canada. It might of been only for grade six students across the country. So whether I wanted to or not my writing was entered into the contest. The following year my first week of grade seven I found out that I was second in place over all of Canada for the Mcleans writers contest. Appartently the contest was so close and had to examine the writings many times to choose the other writer over me for first place. For some reason I was not totally apprecative of the fact that I was second in Canada for the best Mclean's style writing. My friends had their own unigue way to write. They curled there letters or made them look like sticks and even half printed and half wrote in the same word. I was jealous of their creative style so I tried to be creative too. I am sure that within the year I had one of the worst hand writing styles in our class. By the time I graduated from high school you would not choose me to write out a beautiul poem to for a thank you card or anything. Only the past few years am I trying to find my stle in writing again. I love writing with pens and pencils! I have always wanted to learn colligraphy. Wouldn't that be a lovely way to write your thank you letters and cards?

Yes, even from my childhood, I often got praised or rewarded for my handwriting. My young classmates even went so far as to stand line behind me just in order to get me write their names on their notebooks. Now as we type instead of hand writing most of the time, I'm afraid my handwriting is getting worse and worse.

yup I like my handwriting. it is a pretty cursive. I prefer pencils because i like the sound of pencils against paper. If I use pens I'd choose the ink based ones in black. it looks professional. and ink pens write smoother. if writing for fun, I'd go with glittery pens. especially for birthday cards those add a nice touch! I also make my own cards, so I vary the handwriting for the title and the contents.

When i write, which i do often as i have quite a fair amount of pen pals, i don't mind my handwriting. SOmetimes i like it, other times it is just ok. i prefer to use pens over pencils, but i have some cute Halloween pencils that i use sometimes. i use various colors of ink. If i have to choose between the normal blue and black, i will generally choose black unless the pen with blue ink flows better.

I think my handwriting is good. I have rounded styles. I remember when I was a kid and was just learning to write, my mother always telle me not to eat chicken feet because it will make my handwriting bad. I dont know if its true. I cant see the connection...

I hate my handwriting! It's absolutly horrible. I remember in 2nd Grade when we had penmanship, the teacher would make me do the exercises over and over, because I was the only kid who couldn't do the letters write. All through grade school my teachers complained about my handwriting, and one particulary mean teacher gave me a failing grade on a test because my handwriting was so bad. I guess it might be because I hate wasting time, and writing neatly just takes so much longer for me.
