You can also use it to take the oil out of your hair. When I was younger, I was a little lazy when getting up in the morning for school. My mother never let me stay home even if I didn't have time for a shower !! Now I make sure I wash my hair at night..lol. BUT I used to take a small amount of baby powder in my hands and rub it all through my hair and it left it oil-free and smelling good, at least as a last minute fix anyway. You just have to make sure you rub it through good if you have dark hair.

I have heard of using baby powder on carpets before. I have actually done it in the past. It works just as well as a carpet freshener. I now have a carpet shampooer and that is all I need for the carpets right now. I use carpet beads in my vacuum cleaner also to keep my carpet smelling fresh. I have used baby powder in my shoes to keep my feet from getting damp. I have also used baby powder on my hands to keep from getting sweaty palms also. We use powder on our hands and use it when we play pool at home. It helps the stick to glide across your fingers as you are getting ready to shoot.

While in the Air Force, I have heard of some folks using baby powder on the beds to absorb the sweat and such. I have never heard of any such thing until then, but it was confirmed by another person.

I've used it on oil spots on clothing - just put a little pile on the spot and let sit for a day or so. It soaks up the oil, and doesn't leave a stain.
